Nettuno

NETTUNO is a 2-year research project funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU, through the PRIN2022 call by the Italian Government. It will run from September 2023 to August 2025.
NETTUNO project aims at gaining a fundamental understanding of the behavior of the wakes of Floating Offshore Wind Turbines (FOWTs), and the resultant loading patterns they generate on a downstream rotor.
This new understanding will be achieved through a combined experimental and numerical approach, carried out in synergy by Università degli Studi di Firenze and Politecnico di Milano.
Results will be made available open access to the scientific community through this website and the Zenodo repository. Stay tuned!
